Who'll pay reparations on my soul?

We have just lost a longtime countercultural force of nature in Gil Scott-Heron. One of the things 5 Seconds of Decision seeks to accomplish is a celebration of high and low culture, the purposeful and the carnivalesque, the inherent ironies sewn into the fabric of the maverick in our modern technological age. Gil Scott-Heron and others of his ilk emblazoned the landscape and created space for the rest of us, without which our worlds would be very different realities than they are today.

Idle hands are the devil's plaything kids, which is a nice thought in and of itself, but let us use those hands in shaping an unholy vessel with which provoke this Port City to production. Make your own reparations and join the ranks of our monthly electric spectacle, synthesis of music and art, soul shakedown bone rattling revival style... Amen Gil.
